Building Our Future Together

South Kingstown has an opportunity to receive State funding to support investments in the renovation and improvement of our school buildings.

If RIDE approves our Stage II submission, South Kingstown would hold a special election for voters to approve or reject a bond referendum to finance the projects.

Updated Stage II Submission for Review and Vote

On January 6, 2021, the School Building Committee received an updated version of South Kingstown’s Stage II submission to RIDE. The submission must be reviewed and voted on by the School Committee and Town Council prior to the February 15 submission deadline.

The School Building Committee livestreamed a Community Presentation on Monday, November 30 to provide details about the projects and respond to residents’ questions and comments from the questionnaire. The School Department hosted Listening Sessions on December 2 and 10.
